Tables
Sub-tasks in tables
Sub-tasks are listed in the table together with the item they belong to, so you can follow the work on a finding, action or risk improvement without opening it. This works in every table of items: Actions, Findings, Risk improvements, Claims, Policies, and the Questions table of Compliance boards.
Opening an item's sub-tasks Opening an item's sub-tasks
An item with sub-tasks has a ring next to its name. The ring fills up as its sub-tasks are closed, and hovering it shows how many are closed, open and ignored. Click the ring to show the sub-tasks under the item, and click it again to hide them.
Each sub-task is a row of its own, with its own status, responsible, due date and site. Click it to open it, just like any other row.
Filters and search Filters and search
Filters and search look at sub-tasks too. When a sub-task matches but its item doesn't, the item is still shown, as a header with only its name, so you can see where the sub-task belongs. Sub-tasks that don't match are summed up below the ones that do, for example “2 more hidden by filters”.
Pages and exports Pages and exports
- Pages — a page of a table holds a number of items, each with all of its sub-tasks, so an item is never split between two pages.
- Exports — Excel and CSV exports list each sub-task right after its item, with its name starting with “↳”. Items shown only as headers are left out, so an export holds exactly the rows that match your filters.
Good to know: A sub-task can't have sub-tasks of its own. Sub-tasks of a Compliance answer are hidden along with the answer when its question stops applying to the site, and come back with it.
