Claims
Claims landing page
What the landing page is What the landing page is
The landing page is a simple page where people in your organization report a claim: what happened, where and when. It is made for the people who see a loss first — a site manager, a warehouse lead, a technician — rather than for the team that handles claims.
The page stands on its own, without the 21RISK menus, so it is easy to share. Link to it from your intranet, a safety notice board or your onboarding material, and reporting a loss becomes one click away. Every report lands on the Claims board, where the claims team takes it from there.
You find the page's address under Claims > Settings > Landing page. It looks like this, with your organization's name in place of your-organization:
https://21risk.com/your-organization/claims/create
Next to the address, the copy button puts the link on your clipboard, and Open shows the page the way your colleagues will see it.
The page is for people in your organization. They sign in with their 21RISK account, or with single sign-on if your organization uses it, and then go straight to the form. If Claims is switched off for your organization, the page stops taking reports.
Who can report claims Who can report claims
Anyone with the Create permission on the Claims board can report claims on the landing page. They do not need the View permission, so you can let everyone report a loss without letting them see anyone else's claims.
To let everyone in your organization report claims:
- Open Claims > Settings > User Access.
- Give the All Users group a Custom grant with only Create. On the Claims board, Custom may leave out View.
- To let people follow up on what they reported, tick View own claims on the Authors row, and Edit own claims if they should keep their claims up to date.
People without the Create permission who open the page are told that they cannot report claims yet, and who to ask.
A claim is always filed on a site. The landing page offers the sites on the Claims board that the person has site access to. Someone without access to any of those sites cannot pick a site, so check their site access first.
What people fill in What people fill in
The landing page asks only for what the person who saw the loss can tell:
| Field | What it holds |
|---|---|
| Title | A few words about the loss, like "Water leak in warehouse B". |
| Site | Where it happened. |
| Date of loss | When it happened. |
| Claims line | Property for damage to your own sites, Liability when someone else holds you responsible. |
| Damage type | The kind of loss, from your list for the claims line. |
| What happened? | A description of the loss. |
| Photos and documents | Pictures of the damage, reports or anything else that helps. |
The claim starts in the board's default status, without a worst case estimate, deductible, root cause or responsible person. The claims team fills those in on the Claims board.
After submitting, the person sees a confirmation with the claim's number, for example "Claim 128 is submitted", followed by your confirmation message. They can report another claim straight away. If they may also see claims — with the View permission, or with View own claims on the Authors row — they can open the claim they just reported.
Make the page your own Make the page your own
Under Claims > Settings > Landing page you can change how the page looks, so it feels like your organization's own tool. The preview next to the form shows your changes as you type.
| Setting | What it changes |
|---|---|
| Title | The heading at the top of the page. The default is "Report a claim". |
| Introduction | The text above the form. Use it to say what to report, by when, and who to ask. |
| Confirmation message | The text shown once a claim is submitted, for example what happens next. |
| Brand colour | The colour of the header and the border around the form, as a hex code like #0f766e. The text on the header turns black or white, whichever reads better. Fields and buttons keep the standard 21RISK look. |
| Background | A slowly moving background behind the whole page, drawn in your brand colour — the same ones as on the 21RISK sign-in page: Mesh, Aurora, Contours, Light rays or Weave. None keeps a plain coloured header. People who have reduced motion turned on in their system settings see it standing still. |
| Hide "Powered by 21RISK" | Leaves out the line under the form, so the page carries only your organization's name. Part of the Enterprise plan. |
The introduction and confirmation message can use bold, italic, lists and links. Leave a field empty to use the default text. Fields you have changed are highlighted until you select Save. You need the Manage settings permission on the Claims board to change the page. Every change is recorded in the board's activity log.
The header also shows your organization's logo. A group owner sets it under Settings > Account.
If your organization leaves the Enterprise plan, "Powered by 21RISK" shows on the page again. The setting is kept, so it takes effect again if you return to Enterprise.
