Delete and Reactivate Sites

Mar 10, 2026
Site details page showing the permanently delete button and reactivate alert for managing site lifecycle

We've made it easier to manage your site lifecycle by adding set inactive , permanently delete , and reactivate capabilities throughout the platform ✨

What's new

You can now manage the status of individual sites in three convenient ways:

From the site list action menu [ ⋮ ]:

  • Set inactive — Click the three-dot menu on any active site to archive it
  • Reactivate — Click the three-dot menu on any inactive site to restore it
  • Permanently delete — Click the three-dot menu on any inactive site to remove it and all its data

From the site details page:

  • Permanently delete inactive sites — A delete button appears at the bottom of the form for sites that are currently inactive
  • Reactivate inactive sites — When viewing an inactive site, a prominent alert at the top lets you restore it with one click

These actions complement the existing bulk operations available from the site list, making it easy to manage individual sites without selecting them first.

How it works

Action menu [ ⋮ ]

Click the three-dot menu [ ⋮ ] on any site row in the table to see the available status actions. The actions shown depend on the current status of the site.

Details page

When a site has been set to inactive, opening its details page will show:

  1. A red alert banner at the top, clearly indicating the site is inactive and offering a quick reactivate button
  2. A "Permanently Delete" button at the bottom, for when you need to remove the site entirely

Key benefits

  • Multiple workflows — Manage site status from the action menu, the details page, or in bulk from the site list
  • Faster site management — Use the three-dot menu to change status without opening the details page
  • Clear visual feedback — Inactive sites show a prominent warning, so you always know their status
  • Secure deletion — Two-factor authentication is required before permanently deleting a site
  • Easy recovery — Set a site to inactive by mistake? Reactivate it instantly from the action menu or details page

Permissions required

  • Permanently delete — Requires the "Delete Sites" permission and 2FA confirmation
  • Reactivate — Requires the "Create Sites" permission
