Bulk import of users

Bulk import of users from Excel

We're happy to introduce bulk import for users! You can now add hundreds of members to your organization at once, straight from an Excel spreadsheet — no more inviting users one by one.

Why this matters

Onboarding a large team into 21RISK used to mean adding users individually — typing emails and names one at a time. For organizations with hundreds of members, that's a lot of repetitive work. The new bulk importer lets you prepare everything in Excel and import it all in one go.

How it works

The flow follows the same trusted pattern as our sites and COPE bulk importers:

  1. Download the Excel template — it comes with the columns you need: email and name.
  2. Fill in your data — one row per user.
  3. Upload and review — our what-if analysis shows you exactly who will be created and who will be skipped.
  4. Import — one click and all your new users are added.

Smart duplicate handling

Already have some of these users in your organization? No problem. The importer automatically detects existing users and marks them as "Skipped" in the preview — they won't be duplicated or modified. Only genuinely new users are created.

Key benefits

  • Save time — onboard hundreds of users in minutes instead of hours.
  • No duplicates — existing users are automatically detected and skipped.
  • What-if analysis — review every change before committing.
  • Transactional safety — the import either succeeds completely or not at all, keeping your data consistent.

What's next

This is just the beginning! We're planning to expand the user bulk importer to support permissions , site assignments , and user group memberships — so you'll be able to fully configure new users from a single spreadsheet.
