Bulk import of COPE values

Bulk import of COPE values from Excel

We're excited to introduce bulk import for COPE values! You can now update COPE data across all your sites at once, straight from an Excel spreadsheet. Currently, the importer supports area (in square meters) — and we're actively working on adding support for all COPE values (Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and Exposure) in the near future.

Why this matters

Manually entering COPE values site by site can be tedious and error-prone — especially when managing hundreds of sites. With the new bulk importer, you can prepare your data externally and import it all in one go.

How it works

The flow follows the same pattern as our popular values bulk importer:

  1. Download the Excel template — it comes pre-configured with your sites and the area column in square meters.
  2. Fill in your data — one row per site with the area in m².
  3. Upload and review — our what-if analysis shows you exactly what will change before you commit.
  4. Import — one click and all your COPE values are updated.

What's next

We're working on expanding the importer to support all COPE values — Construction, Occupancy, Protection, and Exposure — so you'll be able to bulk-import everything in one go. Stay tuned!

Key benefits

  • Save time — update COPE values for all your sites in minutes instead of hours.
  • Data integrity — aggressive validation ensures your data is correct before importing.
  • What-if analysis — review every change before committing.
  • Transactional safety — the import either succeeds completely or not at all, keeping your data consistent.
