Drag the map marker to update a site address

Dialog showing address fields before and after dragging a site marker to a new location

We've made it easier to correct or update a site's address directly from the map view. You can now drag a site's marker to any new location, and 21RISK will automatically detect the address at that position — then ask you exactly which fields to apply.

How it works

Open the Map view from the Sites section. Find a site whose location needs updating, then simply click and drag its marker to the correct position on the map.

Once you release the marker, 21RISK performs a reverse geocode lookup on the new coordinates and opens a review dialog. The dialog shows a side-by-side comparison of:

  • Before — the site's current address fields
  • After — the newly detected address fields

Only the fields that have actually changed are shown, so you're never overwhelmed with information.

You stay in control

Each changed field has a checkbox. You choose which fields to apply — for example, you might accept the new street and city but keep your existing country code. There's also a copy button on each row to restore the previous value if you change your mind.

When you're happy with the selection, click Confirm to save the changes, or Cancel to discard them and leave the site address unchanged.

Key benefits

  • Visual accuracy — Place markers on the exact building or parcel, rather than relying on text search
  • Granular control — Accept or reject each address field individually
  • Fast correction — Fix a wrong address in seconds without opening a form
  • Safe by default — Nothing is saved until you explicitly confirm
