Bulk import responsibilities from Excel

We've just launched bulk import for responsibility assignments — making it easy to assign users to responsibilities across hundreds of sites from a single Excel spreadsheet.

Why this matters

Managing responsibilities site by site can be time-consuming, especially for large organizations with hundreds of sites. Whether you're setting up fire safety officers, risk managers, or compliance contacts, doing it one at a time is tedious and error-prone.

With the new bulk importer, you can handle all your assignments in one go — for both Property Insurance and Compliance boards .

How it works

  1. Download the template — We generate an Excel file with all your active sites pre-filled and a column for each responsibility you've defined.
  2. Fill in user emails — Enter the email address of the person responsible for each site/responsibility combination.
  3. Upload and review — We show you a what-if preview of exactly what will happen before making any changes.
  4. Import — Confirm and all assignments are created instantly.

The smart part: automatic site access

Here's the really clever thing — when a user is assigned a responsibility at a site, they automatically get access to that site . No need to manually manage site permissions separately. Remove the responsibility, and the access is revoked (unless they have access through other means).

This means your responsibility assignments and site access stay perfectly in sync, without any extra effort.

Key benefits

  • Save hours — Assign hundreds of responsibility assignments in minutes instead of one by one
  • Error prevention — The what-if preview catches problems before they happen: unknown users, invalid sites, and duplicate assignments are all flagged
  • Works everywhere — Same workflow for Property Insurance and all Compliance boards
  • Automatic site access — Users get access to sites they're responsible for, automatically
