Collect values that stay out of TIV, and add as many value columns as you need

The value columns of an Insurance period, with property damage, business interruption and other values groups

Not every figure you collect from a site is insured value. An estimated maximum loss or a replacement-cost estimate belongs on the values form, next to the numbers it relates to, but adding it to the site's TIV would overstate the portfolio. Insurance periods can now ask for both.

Three groups of value columns

We've split a period's value columns, in Insurance > Settings, into three groups:

  • Property damage columns add to Total PD and TIV.
  • Business interruption columns add to Total BI and TIV.
  • Other values are collected from every site, but never add to TIV.

Sites see other values under their own heading on the values form, and they count toward the site's progress like any other value. The Values table, exports, bulk import and Power BI all have them, and Power BI's value-type dimension now says which values count toward TIV.

Up to 20 columns per group, named per period

Each group now holds up to 20 of your own columns instead of five, shown in the order you add them. You can rename or describe a column for one period without changing the name it had in earlier periods.

Removing a column removes it from TIV

Removing a column from a period now deletes the values sites entered for it in that period, so they leave its form, table, progress and TIV. Other periods keep the column, with their values. Before, clearing a column's name only hid it, and its values kept counting toward TIV.

Locked periods stay as they are

A locked period now refuses every change until an administrator unlocks it: its values, its columns and settings such as the currency date, bulk imports into it, and deleting it.
