We're thrilled to announce Tag Change History — a new way to track and understand all modifications to your tags over time 🎉
What's new
Every change made to a tag — whether it's an edit to the name, description, or color — is now recorded and accessible directly in the Tag Details view. You can see exactly who changed what and when, giving you full transparency and auditability.
How it works
When you open a tag's detail page, you'll now see two tabs:
- Edit — Modify the tag's name, description, and color (existing functionality)
- History — View a complete timeline of all changes to this tag
The history tab shows:
- Revision number — Each change is numbered sequentially
- User who made the change — See which team member made the modification
- Timestamp — Exactly when the change was made
- What changed — Visual indicators show which fields were updated:
- ✏️ Name changes — Shows the before/after values
- ✏️ Description changes — Shows the before/after values
- 🎨 Color changes — Shows the old and new color swatches side by side
- Initial creation — The oldest entry shows when the tag was first created

Where to find it
- Navigate to Tags
- Click on any tag to open its details
- Click the History tab to see the complete change log
You can also see tag history from the tag edit dialog when editing tags inline from your sites or compliance boards.

This feature uses the same robust change-tracking system that powers activity logs throughout 21RISK, ensuring that all tag modifications are captured consistently and securely.
