Site Proximity Analysis

Mar 30, 2026
The proximity analysis page showing a table of sites with distance bands and nearby site counts

We've just launched Proximity Analysis for sites β€” a new tool that helps you understand how close your sites are to each other πŸ“

What's new

Under the new More tab on the sites page, you'll find Proximity β€” a view that shows every site with coordinates and how many other sites are located nearby, broken into three distance bands:

  • 0–10 m β€” Sites that are essentially at the same location
  • 10–100 m β€” Sites that are very close neighbors
  • 100–5,000 m β€” Sites within a 5 km radius

How it works

Hover over any count to see the names and exact distances of the nearby sites. Click a site name to open its details directly from the proximity view β€” no need to navigate away.

The list is sorted so that sites with the most very-close neighbors (0–10 m) appear first, making it easy to spot potential duplicates or co-located facilities.

Why this matters

  • Spot duplicates β€” Sites at the exact same coordinates may have been created twice by mistake
  • Insurance planning β€” Understand accumulation risk by seeing which sites are clustered together
  • Operational awareness β€” Know which facilities are close enough to share resources or be affected by the same local events
