When combustible insulation is part of the building structure, the fire load as well as the overall exposure, significantly increases in case of a fire. This model provides solutions where engineered combustible composite panels are present in building construction, to help prevent the combustible insulation from being exposed or involved in a fire. This is achieved by the application of measures including panel fastening to delay the potential delamination and exposure of the core when exposed to a fire. Regularely checking and maintenance of the panels will mitigate the risk in case of a fire.
